Thank you for your interest in my artwork. I’ll consider it my top honor to create a portrait painting for your family.
First, let’s get acquainted. If we haven’t met yet, I’d love to meet you and your family. A meeting at your residence would be perfect. We’ll have a chance to work out such matters as location and general feel for your portrait. This is also the time to plan out (or get a general idea of) the poses and wardrobe.
Most of my clients prefer to have their portrait done at their home. This allows them to feel more comfortable and offers a number of benefits: one can prepare at leisure, has access to their entire wardrobe (if needed), and there is a chance to capture a glimpse of one’s home in the background.
A portrait sitting at my home studio is possible as well (limited to one person, though). In either scenario, it should not take longer than an hour. All further work will be done from the photographs that we capture together.
At the end of your portrait sitting, you will have a chance to review the photographs and decide whether you would like to go ahead with a portrait commission. This is also when you will select your portrait size and frame. Not to worry – I’ll guide you through the selection process to find a perfect fit for your home. Naturally, the size cannot be changed once the work begins.
Now to the important stuff. A portrait commission is an important undertaking for both parties, and is, therefore, 100% binding. A 1/4 of the total payment amount is kindly requested before I commence the work on your portrait. You will have a chance to preview your preliminary portrait mid-process.
Once all the details are agreed upon and the work begins, you can expect to see your portrait within two months. I will personally deliver your portrait to your home once it is complete. At this point, I will kindly ask you to fulfill your remaining financial obligation.
Here are some really good news. I am happy to offer the initial consultation and the portrait sitting session for you and your family at no cost. This is just how I like to do business, and it is a great way for you to find out what my portraits are all about.
I would be delighted to speak to you personally. Please reach out to me when you are ready.
Have you had any of these questions come up in your head?
- I don’t know what we should wear for our portrait…
- We’ve never posed for professional pictures before, let alone for a portrait…
- I’m not sure if my family would appreciate a fine art portrait…
- I’m not sure what portrait size we should get…
- I’m not sure if we should commission a full-length, 3/4 length, or some “other length” portrait…
- How can my family take full advantage of this opportunity and be 100% prepared for our portrait sitting session?
Glad you asked. These are all great questions, and we have you covered. We’ve developed an information-packed email series that address all of these. If you are at all considering a portrait from Rothschild Portraiture, these emails are a must-read. Fill out your information, and keep an eye on your inbox (emails may arrive in your Promotions tab).
Bonus: Every month we raffle off one of our portrait frames to go with a future portrait commission. Sign-up to enter. You could be our next winner!
