For certain occasions no expense should be spared. For these – commission your Rothschild portrait painting in traditional oil.
Most of my clients decide on a mixed media portrait. These portraits offer a tremendous value, and most casual observers would be hard pressed to tell that it is not oil.
For the situations where oil is a requirement, I collaborate with a fellow artist to execute my portraits in oil.
Your oil portrait should still take no longer than an hour of sitting time, as we take the photographs that would serve as the basis of your portrait.
Do keep in mind that an oil painting is open to the artist’s interpretation. If you care about the portrait being as close to real life as possible, you would be better off with a mixed-media portrait instead.
What to expect
Chances are, you’ve never had a painting done. Not to worry – the process is pretty straight forward.
An exquisite framing
The joints on every frame in my studio are masterfully masked to give an appearance of a frame being made from a single piece of wood. All of the gold leafing is imported from Italy and Germany and is applied by hand. This level of craftsmanship is usually reserved only for the serious art collectors and for the museums. Learn more.
